5 Aggregates - Plain and Simple?
« on: April 25, 2015, 05:17:59 am »
Hello,

This is my first post to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm currently reading 'What the Buddha Taught' by Walpola Rahula. So far, I'm enjoying it because of the clarity Rahula uses to explain the concepts of Buddhism. However, when he begins explaining the 5 Aggregates of Dukkha he writes about them very ambiguously and doesn't offer a simple, concise, nor comprehensive explanation.

I've done some searching online to find clarity, but I'm having trouble finding anything about them that isn't as confusing as Rahula's explanation. I've seen a few replies people have posted trying to explain the aggregates, but their posts are usually filled witd with words that I'm not sure the writer truly understands. So I'm hoping someone can help me find a resource for better understanding aggregates that isn't over complicated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Very good explanation. I'm a beginner and I would recommend this woman's site to anyone like me.
Thank you for suggestion and thank you to Minda-Lee Kumar.
