Buddha laughed as he was dieing

laughter seems confusing, inappropriate, and indescribable to me

Ignoring, where did you get the idea that he laughed as he was dying?  It is not true.  The Exalted One died with equanimity, neither laughing nor crying.

that wasn't really what i was getting at, but okay:

apparently he laughed as he was dieing.
