In this Wisdom Light Buddhist Study Group (in the English language), we will learn and practice Buddhism systematically. We will follow the teachings of Wisdom Light in a simple, vivid and pleasant style focusing on meditation practices.
Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro, the writer of Wisdom Light, is one of the most respected Tibetan Buddhist master today. Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro is highly praised and admired by other eminent masters such as Dzongsar Rinpoche, Sogyal Rinpoche, and Sodargye Khenpo Rinpoche. Dzongsar Rinpoche says, “it gives me so much hope just knowing that Khen Rinpoche (i.e. Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro) exists on this earth.”
Our study has three goals:
1. With the help of clear explanation in simple language, we will proceed from the elementary to the profound in our learning and probing into the Buddhist view of the truth of the universe and of emptiness. This view is also vital and critical in our practice of Buddhism.
2. We will learn simple but efficient techniques of meditation and receive precious instructions on dealing with worries, so that we can gradually change our lives into a more balanced and healthier lifestyle and experience true happiness.
3. We will study the treasured sequence and essence of practicing Buddhism, and learn to be a real practitioner embarking on the path to  the Enlightenment and liberation.
To achieve the above goals, we have a four-step plan:
•   First step: focus on Buddhist view and elementary training to approach meditation, visualization and recitation.
•   Secondly: focus on Four Common Preliminary Practices to prepare one to be a real practitioner.
•   Thirdly: focus on Five Uncommon Preliminary Practices to prepare us for the Realization.
•   Finally: focus on Mindfulness and Meditation practices that lead one to the Realization, and further to the Enlightenment and Ultimate Freedom.
Classes are free. Complementary text books will be provided. A two-hour meeting and discussion will be conducted once a week via the Internet. Any friends especially in North America who are interested in Tibetan Buddhism are welcome.
