Where ever it would be put and situated, showing that this is what you took refuge to, is a proper place.

Just be honest to your self and use this issue for good discrimination whether you seek refuge or girlands for your self. No need to speak about it's merits and demerits.

One can, and is not restricted by the Gems, do what ever he likes, even walking like on the beach in Dhamma centers. How ever, effects of deeds are ones own, nobody else.

How much are you directed in giving and let go and that in regard of what you seek refuge in?
