System Must Reboot to Apply Recent Changes
« on: March 31, 2010, 02:57:20 am »
 :teehee:

I put this in the beginners zone for a reason.
I was just downloading an update for my virus definitions, and an upgrade from MicroSoft for my operating sytem (I run Visa).
When the updates were finished the statement I've seen many times, but often don't pay much attention to came up on the screen. It said, "System must reboot to apply recent changes".
Like I say, I've seen it many times, but I never paid any real attention to it.
I know that one of the "sticky" parts of Buddhisim for many beginners is the concept of "rebirth".
What is it that is "reborn"? How, and where? Frankly, I don't know the answers to those questions.
But it just hit me...that statement that I saw on my computer sreen after those updates... System Must Reboot to Apply Recent Changes.....Oh!.....Yes.
I can handle that.

If (I) was you (I) would change to Master Card.   :D

Or, change your software to "Vista".   :wink1:

What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.

System Must Reboot to Apply Recent Changes.....Oh!.....Yes.

I think that's what's happening when we dream.  And dreams are no more intelligible than computer code. :)

I wish I understood the symbolism of chasing a mythical gangster called Dinsdale Piranha. :teehee:
