wishing blessing
« on: September 29, 2015, 11:15:30 pm »
In Western cultures we usually say: God bless you!
Is there any similar expression in Buddhism.
Also the meaning of blessing exists in Buddhistic religion?
For example orthodox and catholic priests can bless someone.
In Greek culture also old people can give blessing!
Is there anything similar in Buddhism!
“I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free!"

May you be filled with loving kindness.
May you be well.
May you be peaceful and at ease.
May you be happy.

Tashi Delek approximately means, may all be auspicious in Tibetan.  There are blessings and the blessing of people and things in Mahayana Buddhism.  If you practice the mantrayana then you are dealing with a shower of blessings.
