I think this may appeal to any Monty Python fans: "Look around you" spoof BBC series.
Look Around You : Germs

Best ones so far: Germs and Calcium.
Well I laughed anyway.

Tinnitus:  Ringing in both ears.  Also, keyboard clicking, while typing this response. :listen:
What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.

Tinnitus in both ears!?  You were lucky!  We never had tinnitus, nor ears come to that - an ear would have been sheer luxury to us.  And we never had keyboards to click, nor fingers come to that.... :teehee:

Spiny taking no self a bit too literally??????
to me, the signs of a successful practice are happiness and a cessation of suffering, buddhism often gives me this; not all the answers.

I heard this guy on the jazz station one time, and I really like his music. His name is Cam Newton...no not the quarterback....I have the CD "Ipso Facto"..and its great...all instrumental. Check out his composition "Morning of the Gypsy King" I have never heard an acoustic guitar sound so much like trumpets. Amazing...
The non-doing of any evil,
the performance of what's skillful,
the cleansing of one's own mind:
this is the teaching of the Awakened.
