Are we immoral
« on: August 07, 2017, 10:55:38 pm »
Some of us are Buddhist and atheist.  :grouphug:

Are we moral, independent of sila or our affiliation to atheistic dharma?
https://phys.org/news/2017-08-atheists-thought-immoral-fellow.html

Should our theistic friends be boiled or sautéed before consumption?  :lipsseald:  :smack:

Interesting study.

Here is another study dealing with Religiousness having a negative effect on children's altruism:

The Negative Association between Religiousness and Children’s Altruism across the World

Quote
Highlights

Family religious identification decreases children’s altruistic
behaviors

Religiousness predicts parent-reported child sensitivity to
injustices and empathy

Children from religious households are harsher in their
punitive tendencies

There are four kinds of children in this world. Which four?

Coming from light and going to light. Coming from light and going to darkness. Coming from darkness and going to darkness. Coming from darkness and going to light.

There is the case where a person is born into a good virtouse familie with tradition, he himself conducts virtuose and holds on the good tradition.

There is the case where a person is born into a good virtuous familie with tradition, but he himself does not conduct virtuose and does not hold on the good tradition.

There is the case where a person is born into a bad family without virtue and tradition, he himself conducts unvirtuose and without principles.

There is the case where a person is born into a bad family without virtue and tradition, but he himself conducts virtuose and holds on principles.

These are the four kinds of children to be found in the world.

The question is now not one of "we" but of which kind of children one oneself is, which would possible make a little chance in the world.

What sort do you consider me? How can I determine which sort I am?

Has Magistra ever though about the matter that nobody in far distance is so interested in him like he. The King. Try to catch the message, but in advanced: no need to write about it, just do the consequence.

I just wanted to hear what sort of insults people might throw for the purpose of thinking and feeling invigorated by them. Your writing on this website, I pay close attention to it, and I appreciate it. Of many of these people you actually went out and practiced and learned too. Thank you very much for writing to me.
