Welcome to Seikyoji Temple!

This is an independent Jodo-shinshu (founded by Shinran 1172-1262) Buddhist temple. Jodo-shinshu being based on the

Mahayana tradition, chief priest Akira and his wife Ryuko, also a priest, are deeply interested in Theravada tradition which directly comes from Sakyamuni Buddha.
Akira tries to re-connect the essence of Jodo-shinshu to the origin of Buddhism.
Ven. Alubomulle Sumanasara visits Seikyoji temple four times a year (staying about 4 days each time) and preach sermons, teach Pali canons and train vipassana meditation. Everyone is welcome. Please check the temple calendar or ask to Seikyoji for his schedule.
Questions and opinions are welcome. Please e-mail or tweet in English and/or, of course, in Japanese.

Akira Fujimoto, chief priest
