The forum you are about to enter is a public forum belonging to many members from all walks of the dharma. From Buddhist-curious to ordained members, FreeSangha is where Free Thinking Buddhists around the Globe participate.

Please be mindful that while your own personal views are your own to express as you see fit, consider that what you express in this forum should be done as if you were in a room with the rest of the members. The ideas and words you use are no different than if the very same members were besides you in a room with a face to face conversation. Some beliefs you might personally hold or that your tradition may take for granted may not be part of other Buddhist traditions. Others may or may not ascribe to your beliefs. Please practice respect towards everyone the way you would in your own sangha.

Your contributions will be evaluated by moderators according to right speech and fair-mindedness, and will not be regarded for content based on personal belief. FreeSangha does not police the dharma for any practitioners, merely offers a public and shared space where different forms of dharma can meet peacefully and share their practice with others.

No tradition will be silenced, moderation will however remove posts that reflect immaturity or that fuel discord and animosity that is irrelevant to productive discussion. Any posts found to not adhere to the Terms of Service will be considered for removal and authors will be informed by moderation. FreeSangha is not party to any one Buddhist School's interests. FreeSangha remains apolitical to differences between traditions. This site intends to foster an impartial atmosphere of harmony and understanding among different traditions. FreeSangha takes no sides in any political or religious differences between schools of thought but holds all members and staff to the same criteria for moderation and disciplinary action.
