Ocha.  Japanese green tea is my favorite.

Oishi desu!  It tastes good!

(Wax on!  Wax off!) -  Reminds me that I saw Mr. Miagi in a Sandford and Son episode a few weeks ago.  He looked the same as a young man as he did when he was older.  Comes from drinking Ocha I'm sure.  All those antioxidants do it!

 EEK

I love Japanese Green Tea. Isn't there a saying in Japanese that says something like, "the taste of Green Tea is like the taste of Zen"? (I don't speak any Japanese, but I heard that saying in English somewhere.)
I was on a Japan Air Lines flight once where I was upgraded to first class due to the plane being overcrowded. The stewardess was bringing Green Tea around to all the Japanese passengers on the plane, but was ignoring the foreigners. I stopped here and asked for the Green Tea. She was surprised that I wanted it, but I assured her I did. She remembered that, and brought me a cup of Green Tea after the breakfast meal. Until I asked her she had assumed that no foriegner wanted Green Tea after a meal.
I like it, because it's slightly bitter taste clears the palate after a meal.

Had a cup of Earl Grey the other day, really  enjoyed it.

Can't find Almond milk anywhere. Tried Rice milk (like putty) and Oat milk (also like putty) may as well put up with the soya.
Anyone else know a good alternative to cows milk in black (or green and black ) tea?

I don't usually add anything to tea, but hemp seed milk might work.  I like using it for smoothies and hot chocolate.

Wow, that's not right that you can't find it!  I saw it advertised on TV today!

I'll keep checking for other substitutes, but you just may have to "man up" and drink it black!

I think  hemp seed milk will also taste like putty as it contains the same long chain acids and alcohols (linoleic, etc) which are present in puttys linseed oil, so, no thanks !  Grins

If you saw an ad for it on TV you obviously don't live in the UK!  Cheesy Grin

I'll try to brave it up and be a man, but how do you put on a brave face when you drink a cup of tea? ( I'll keep trying with the bullworker, probably only Ron and myself would remember that one!)

Yes, Tetley is good tea.
My brief sojourn as a vegan is over, I am sorry to say. All down to tea, and lack of will power big tears.
I can only call myself vegetarian, at most now....
Favourite tea Twinings green and black with cows milk and 1 sugar.
and Tetleys green and lemon, with 1 sugar.
I am also guilty of being English....  EEK

A nice cup of strong Yorkshire or Tetleys tea, with milk and no sugar.

English style!

I have a frequent visitor who likes his Tetley with whole milk and at least two heaping teaspoons of sugar in an 8 ounce cup. I tried it that way and it was like drinking syrup. Seems like he has me running out for more sugar every month or so. I guess it's a good chance to practice a little generosity tho. I do try not to wince when he shovels it in.

I mean, considering a can of coke has eight or ten teaspoons of sugar in the same volume... well the tea is starting to look pretty harmless.

If you don't like the idea of the dairy industry killing calves you can always use soya or rice 'milk'.

I prefer my coffee very strong and black, but tea needs milk ............. and biscuits.

I'm a rather uncouth American so I like tea . . . made with tea leaves.  You name it, I'll drink it.  Oolong, Lapsong Souchong, Earl Gray, Lady Gray, Liptons; don't matter to me.

Coffee on the other hand . . . must be fresh ground and preferably fresh roasted.  Must be a dark roast (there's a kind of dark roast called Black Silk that I will literally run over old women and children to get).  If it's a good coffee, it shouldn't need anything, but sometimes I like a little honey and cream in it just to mix things up.
