Greetings Everyone !
« on: December 27, 2011, 03:27:56 am »
My Name is Rabi and I am from Nepal, the birth place of Shakyamuni Buddha. I am very glad to be part of the forum. I love reading books, exploring and writing blogs. Nepalese Himalayas are dwellings of Himalayan Buddhists for thousands of years. Hence here we find Buddhist lifestyle not changed much with time. There are many sacred Buddhist places in Nepal such as Namobuddha, Ghar Gompa of Mustang, Haleshi and the famous Lumbini. Lumbini and surrounding area of ancient Kapilabastu is not only the birth place of Shakyamuni Buddha, but is also of Kanakmuni and Kakuchandra Buddha. Beside that many other sites related with Lord Buddha has been recovered by modern excavation.
So I am excited to be part of discourse on Buddhism as well as to let people know what we know.

Hi Rabi,

How fortunate to be born into such dharma wealth.

Hi, Rabi.  We look forward to learning from you and taking advantage of your resources.  Let me know when you are willing to take some of us on tours of the various historical sites with which you are familiar.
