I am just joining today. I have been solo practicing for over 2 decades. I originally became interested in Zen Buddhism after reading a book by Alan Watts when I was still a teenager. I had a period of my life where strayed from my path , but am now on it again. I can be rather long winded so I will keep this short. I look forward to some good conversations.

 :namaste: Hello,

I spend all my time straying back onto the path. Soon I may stay on the straight and narrow ... oh a crook in the road ...  :teehee:

Welcome aboard, Conscious..

My first sangha was a Zen group in Rochester, NY back in 1998.

Look forward to reading your posts.
What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.
