Hi, I'm new to Buddhism. I'm not sure what type I am or any knowledge. I have a couple of books but it seems there's many types. I've read about I think the three gems and 5 truths and precepts. I had questions about if my altar/ shrine was incorrect and also about tattoos. Thank you in advanced for reading my post and have a lovely day. I cannot wait to learn more in case I am doing anything disrespectful within meditation or prayers. have a lovely evening

So since you're interested in buddhism there must be unease in your life. Because if there would not be unease it would not make sense to be interested in buddhism.

Anyway, have a good time.

The past is not so important because most (maybe all) people have harmed in the past. If we learn from harming (from the past!), we can change to non-harming. The Buddha praised people who saw clearly their harmful actions and changed their life towards non-harming.

I thought I wrote a nice thing here about "types" of Buddhism to help you figure out which you might like, a great deal of care and work went into that and it was destroyed. Do any of you have a record or copy of it or can press backspace to retrieve it for me and send it to me please? I have no copy of it and I'd like to have a copy for my records please to save, I don't like my hard work and writing to be deleted or destroyed like this, please help me out, please. Can you all try to go back and retrieve what I wrote please? It was a very long post about various extremes on a spectrum.
