Hello From The Heartland
« on: June 15, 2019, 07:20:46 pm »
Hi to all.

This Forum was recommended by a friend so, after taking a look around, it seems like something in which I'd like to participate.

I am a Jodo-shu Pure Land devotee, having recently received Kikyo-shiki, during which I happily took my vows, and am a member of Rinkaian Temple in Japan.  My life has increasingly become monk-like, as I am older (and less active), and quieter pursuits give such joy and value to me nowadays.

I am everyone's friend - yes, even (and perhaps especially) including our  differences in spiritual ideologies and styles of living.  But this doesn't mean I'm interested in debating, or "converting" away from my firmly-held  belief in, and practice of Jodo-shu Buddhism.

Friends can agree to disagree without harm.

Namu Amida Butsu!

Some say Buddhism is a Religion.
Others say Buddhism is a Style.
I say it's a Stylish Religion.
