Hi - Introduce yourself here! This is the Introduction Common Thread for newcomers who don't want to start a new topic for their introduction. Or you may post a new topic if you'd like your own introduction!

Many Thanks to Arya-Shraman's idea
Quote from: Arya-Shravak Shraman
I think there should be a single thread where everyone can Introduce themselves. Starting a new topic just to say Hi seemed like a waste of space (Though its free). You can introduce yourself here if you like my idea.

I am Arya-Shravak Shraman. I am from India. I do practice Vipassana. Interested in non sectarian universal all-inclusive Dhamma and peaceful sharing of information.

Love and peace.

Welcome and thank you for joining Free-Sangha.  My Buddhist name is Ogyen Chodzom.  My real name is Daphne.  For those of  you from e-sangha, I was Syzygy.  We look forward to practicing and growing with you!

Welcome!
OK, why not... I'll sticky this topic, so newcomers can choose if they want to introduce themselves here or in an individual topic.
My actions are my only true belongings.
I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
My actions are the ground on which I stand.

Hi, I'm dhammaseeker51 but really Peter Power in real life!
I'm looking for an alternative to the Buddhist community forum which is suffering from a lot of offensive and very unBuddhist postings. I dont know if it can be rescued or not, but its really a shame that most of the original subscribers seem to have left because of a few individuals causing the trouble.
Hope it can't happen here!
with metta to all.

I'm Rick, and was on e-sangha for a couple of years before it evaporated.  I then tried Buddhist Community. This is more to my liking-the negativity that seemed to ooze from BC was really offensive.

I've been a practitioner for several years now, and look forward to learning and sharing with the folks at FreeSangha.   :buddha:

:dharma:Hello to old friends and to all! ! My name is Tsomo, and Anna too. I am dutch, therefore speak/write funny english! I am a non-sectarian student and practitioner of the priceless Buddha Dharma. Many buddhist traditions have done and do, and all buddhist traditions can enrich my spiritual visions and experiences. There are as many buddhist paths to enlightenment as that there are people. Nobody else sees the same apple in the same way as I do. I am focusing on Amitabha's Pure Land. I am looking forward to follow the inspiring conversations, discussions, healthy debates, hopefully contribute some wisdom too, and enjoy the Free Sangha experience. Many thanks to the creators of Free Sangha! Om Ami Dewa Hri!

I'm sorry but I have to ask. Is your name really Peter Power? If it is why haven't you started your own line of men's "improvement" products replete with late night infomercials.

Something ala
Sean Connery: I've got to ask you about the Penis Mightier.

Alex Trebek: What? No. No, no, that is The Pen is Mightier.

Sean Connery: Gussy it up however you want, Trebek. What matters is does it work? Will it really mighty my penis, man?

Alex Trebek: It's not a product, Mr. Connery.

Sean Connery: Because I've ordered devices like that before - wasted a pretty penny, I don't mind telling you. And if The Penis Mightier works, I'll order a dozen.

Alex Trebek: It's not a Penis Mightier, Mr. Connery. There's no such thing!

Nicholas Cage: Wait, wait, wait.. are you selling Penis Mightiers?

Alex Trebek: No! No, I'm not.

Sean Connery: Well, you're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek!
