Hi - Introduce yourself here! This is the Introduction Common Thread for newcomers who don't want to start a new topic for their introduction. Or you may post a new topic if you'd like your own introduction!

I think there should be a single thread where everyone can Introduce themselves. Starting a new topic just to say Hi seemed like a waste of space (Though its free). You can introduce yourself here if you like my idea.

I am Arya-Shravak Shraman. I am from India. I do practice Vipassana. Interested in non sectarian universal all-inclusive Dhamma and peaceful sharing of information.

I'm looking for an alternative to the Buddhist community forum which is suffering from a lot of offensive and very unBuddhist postings. I dont know if it can be rescued or not, but its really a shame that most of the original subscribers seem to have left because of a few individuals causing the trouble.

I'm Rick, and was on e-sangha for a couple of years before it evaporated.  I then tried Buddhist Community. This is more to my liking-the negativity that seemed to ooze from BC was really offensive.  

I've been a practitioner for several years now, and look forward to learning and sharing with the folks at FreeSangha.
