Introduction
« on: January 07, 2016, 11:29:40 pm »
Hi, I've just joined so thought I should introduce myself. My names Rainë, nice to meet you all :) I am Vajrayana Buddhist and have been with a Sangha for about 6 years but still very much at the early stages, since having a little (wonderful) boy, I have gone backwards in my practice but very much wanted to throw myself back in and learn from this experience.
Yours in the Dharma
Rainë

Hi, Raine.

Welcome to FreeSangha.
What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.

Welcome Raine.  Which part of the world are you in?
