Metta and Namaste to all....
« on: January 24, 2017, 02:08:05 am »

  Hi all,

My name is Ajay and I am glad to be in this sweet and peaceful forum. I am interested in educating myself  and holding constructive discussions.  :namaste:

Above all I am glad to be in good and noble company .  ;D

I am interested in spirituality, theology, philosophy, psychology, literature and history.

I believe that the quality of a person is dependent on the quality of his mind, and hence am interested in the applications of psychology in  elevating the consciousness of the individual and consequently that of society.

May all beings attain Buddhahood,

May all beings attain peace  and happiness,

Metta.  :anjali:

Nice to meet you Ajay! I'm also new here so was taking a browse of the rest of the new members and found your post really interesting - I'm interested in psychology too and am studying it at college at the moment, though it disappoints me with how little it mentions consciousness and the spirit.  :anjali:

Welcome, ajay0 and Somnium.

My suggestion would be to begin by exploring the  Free Sangha forums, which include discussions from many different Buddhist tradtions.  If you have questions about board processes and procedures you may want at first to ask for help from other board members, and failing that, contacting one of the board moderators, or administrators with personal msgs.

I look forward to reading your posts and responses to posts.

What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.
