n Elder Master once said:
Those who skillfully discourse on Mind and Self-Nature surely can never reject Cause and Effect; those who believe deeply in Cause and Effect naturally understand the Mind and Self-Nature in depth. This is a natural development.
If it were not for a period of penetrating cold, the plum blossom could never develop its exquisite perfume!

Just to ask if this is a scan of copyright material?

Maybe some words form yourself to put it into context and state the thread's purpose?

Thanks. :)

The patriarch of the Pure land School in Japan, Sen Toa practiced very diligently. He created a ritual named "Confession in six times" which should be performed three times during the day and three times during the night. For this reason the Japanese Pure Land School is also called the School of Time. He did not waste a single moment without repetition.Besides repetitions, worship, praise, confession, writing sutras and performing many good conducts, he set down his personal example for us to follow. He copied the Amitabha Sutra one hundred thousand times. He drew 300 forms of pictures of Sukhavati. After he received realization, holy light shone from his mouth and he still continued his repetition until he passed away. Just great. Where do we stand?
