Not much weirdness lately, but I did do a puja a couple of days ago and the pretty colours are back. Same deal, about 15 seconds worth immediately after the head hits the pillow, vivid neon colours and psychedelia in the geometric style, almost like those coloured animations of the Mandlebrot set.

This definitely seems related to the amount of time I spend on meditation, pujas and mantras.

So you'll know I'm getting really holy if I start messages with "Like wow man it's so cosmic ya know?"

Hmm I see they are selling lava lamps again. I wonder whatever happened to my jimi hendrix albums?

I don't see anything unusual in this, nor will I make a joke of it.

Vision is not only a sense, but it creates its own consciousness, as does sound, smell, touch, and taste. It isn't unusual for powerful meditations to instill powerful sensual responses that persist within their corresponding consciousnesses. The challenge is to not make more of this than it is. Don't invest meaning in it past sight consciousness. [m]ind will tend to grasp to this and form itself around this, giving the impression that it is a sign of something. As I imagine you know, Catmoon, signs and their meanings are simply conventions. The revolution will not be televised.  Similarly, the realization will not be visualized.

Enjoy it and then let it go.

That all sounds very sure of itself. Take it for what it is, a guess.

Hi Catmoon!
Long time since I've been here and your topic caught my eye.
I had a really vivid visual sensory experience recently after  meditation and visualizations of chakra centers as part of my practice.  I was told by people to who I described this event that I was having a stroke!!!
But it certainly wasn't a stroke.  I am certain it was related to my practice but it has yet to reoccur.

Like you, I find this sort of thing occurs most commonly after a meditation that involves clear, colorful visualizations.

When I was a kid I used to see coloured balls of different sizes falling from the sky like rain.  I have no idea if it meant anything.  My advice - just enjoy the free show!

I'm sure there's been a prosecution against some people whose BBQ smoke was constantly invading the vegetarian neighbour's home and garden.  Fortunately in the UK such rites don't last long before the rain washes them away!
