Luxury meditation resort

Inspired by the thread started by Lobster, does anybody know of any luxury meditation resort? It seems "wrong" to go to a luxury meditation resort... cause buddhists are supposed to not spend so much or indulge in so much enjoyment. But I am a person whom can't live without creature comfort.....

I've been doing research on ananda spa at the himalayas. Seems like the only place tat does luxury meditation retreat amongst many other things. Does anybody have any other places in mind?

That is why training in virtue comes first. *smile* Every place will be luxury if a good amount of virtue is established. But before all this, its usually necessary to practice Dana. Virtue needs a good amount capability of letting go.

So such kinds of meditations will not have any positive effect for others as well not for your self. It's just the normal worldly way of seeking for pleasure with it's hurts on the other side. *smile*

It seems you are looking for a kind of wellness/recreation. For me that's fine although "it is not my cup of tea". I mean it seems at odds with buddhist ideas and buddhist orthodoxy but its fine nevertheless. It is no must to follow the path of the Buddha
Meditation is no invention of the Buddha. There is meditation outside of the buddhist path and there was meditation before the Buddha taught.

Also everbody has to start from where she/he is ... so you may end up on the buddhist path nevertheless. This being the case it is impossible to differentiate between "buddhist path" and "non-buddhist path".

I guess I just want to indulge in luxury. So I probably want to "trick" myself into believing that I want to gain enlightenment... but in a comfortable way.... kind of oxymoron right?? lol
