Meditation place help
« on: November 20, 2015, 11:52:40 pm »
Hello,

My name is Amit.
I'm practicing meditation for a year and a half now.
In this time I did a two months vippasana meditation retreat in lumbini nepal according to the theravada mahasi tradition.
I did also the 10 days S.N goenka vipasana retreat.

I'm very confused on how to proceed with my practice.
I became aware to zen and really wish to practice it in a good zen center which most importantly is suitable for foreigners.
Meaning it's english spoken and taught to some degree.

I'm currently in kudaikanal in south India because I wanted to practice in the bodhi zendo facility.
The problem is they are booked until june 2016.

This is the biggest thing in my life right now.
Would love to hear suggestions where can I practice long retreat ( two weeks plus ) in a suitable place for westners.
It doesn't have to be in India,
I can fly to different country in the east
As long as it suitable for westners.

Thank you in advance for
Your advise.

With Metta,
Amit.

This site might be helpful:  http://www.buddhanet.info/wbd/

Not all groups are listed but those that are should know what else is going on in their local area.  Alternatively you could try googling particular Buddhist schools and see what comes up.

just remember this is all conceptual thinking and the truth is underlying conception meaning it requires no conception of mental view. namaste.
