Is there a way to delete or modify my posts
« on: December 12, 2014, 03:15:31 am »
sometimes after some careful thought I find I would like to either delete or modify some of my posts.

Is there a way for me to do that?
The non-doing of any evil,
the performance of what's skillful,
the cleansing of one's own mind:
this is the teaching of the Awakened.

Hi Mark.

You have a limited amount of time to modify your post --- if I remember correctly it's like two minutes and all you have to do is click on the modify button above your post.

To delete a post, all you have to do is ask a staff member and they will do it for you, provided that no one has responded to it.

As for spell check, yes, but it's real limited and won't catch everything --- usually question spellings will be underlined in red while prior to posting, but it has no grammar feature (it's or its).

I just checked the settings and you have two minutes from posting to edit your post without it being marked as edited. Three hours after posting, editing is disabled.

This is because at times, when members have left in a huff, they've first started editing and deleting posts left and right, causing a general mess all over the place. We've also had a couple of members that have modified their old posts and statements to support their new ones and undermine others'.
My actions are my only true belongings.
I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
My actions are the ground on which I stand.
