I also find his mentioning updating his site because of attacks by Theravadins.  Seems like a Boogie-Man.  I've read a lot of crap on BC about Theravadins doing malicious stuff, but it doesn't ring true to me.

Yes, it's really bizarre. I've never heard anything of the kind until encountering our buddy Kala on BC. What a strange choice for a supposed enemy our Theravadin brethren make lol.

No Shit!  The idea of Theravadins invading a website run by an aledged Vajrayanist to make mischief is simply ludicrous.

If anyone so desires, I found the email address for the abuse reporting for the server hosting BC. If you like, feel free to email abuse@fortressitx.com with complaints about the trolling and Leo's abandonment of moderating. Some people are telling me I can legally sue for the slander against me but I am not out for blood money, I just want it stopped.

Anyone else see his New Year's blog at Buddhist Community? Is that what this is all about, he thinks social networking websites are turning us into a selfish society? Manifesto of a lunatic...

Empowerments and lineage aside, doesn't anyone find it odd that he never mentions a name, aside from Kala Chakra, on his site or provide any contact information for his "Dharma Centers" or whatever he calls them?  I just wonder who has the time to create such an elaborate smoke screen and for what purpose.  I imagine he splits his time between harassing folks on BC and internet porn.  Just a guess.

***Notice to All Theravadins****

We will begin the advance at 00:00 on The New Moon from code name "Tushita Heaven".

Do not wear your orange robes.  White robes only.  Heads must be shaved.  Feet washed.  Do not walk upright.  Use the crawl of compassion.  The hopping lotus is strictly forbidden. :bouncing:

Remember:  Defeat all who come before us with loving-kindness and compassion.

Intelligence:  Report any sighting of Mara or his legions immediately to "Yellow Monkey" at 55.2 megahertz.  Alternate channel: FOX 25.
What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.

Why do you empower him by acknowledging his posts or "empowerments" on this site?  You're only feeding his ego.

Please, don't bring that negative energy here.
You've been taught that there is something wrong with you and that you are imperfect, but there isn't and you're not.

All of his posts, except for one, have been deleted here. We saved the one because it was just too outrageous as entertainment.

This thread exists, I think (IMHO) for 2 purposes:
  • as a form of therapy for those of us who are watching Buddhist Community crash and burn. I invested a lot of time and energy there, and I really enjoyed it while it was still functional. And because he is actively slandering some of us or our friends, which is really stressful.
  • As a reflection of FreeSangha's commitment to transparent moderation. We want people know that a former member was banned, and why, and we want all members to be able to voice their concerns about that event.

But I don't disagree with you, acknowledging him at all is more than he deserves. Do others think we should delete/ or lock-down this thread?

Lighten up folks.  Don't take it so seriously.  He's not currently sharing this virtual space, really you are reading with your own perception coloring your reactions.  I'm sure most people are amused as well at how goofy the whole thing is, this online (made-up space) life is purely our mind projecting itself onto a blank screen.  We can look at ourselves here like almost nowhere else?  Everytime we write about someone or to someone one we don't know the other person in their beauty that moves... we don't know them!  But we know this is a made up space and we know that we agreed to the rules and we know this is where we get to watch ourselves and our grand play of ego-based make-believe our lives, no?
 :cheesy:

Monkey Mind,  I think it's fine to leave it, but if more have objections and if posters keep adding to this thread, out of courtesy we can close the topic.

I think we should lock-down this thread, more comments and jokes may provoke negative reactions. This should not be deleted as it is a good example on why we need moderation and why the community here thinks that our moderators have done it correctly.
