New Kadampa, Geshe Kelsan Gyatso y Dorje Shugden
« on: December 09, 2009, 11:26:13 pm »
Hi,
what are your opinions on these topics and should I worry too much for them? I study in a new kadampa center and I've never seen anything suspicious, but I am worried after reading some articles that consider this kind of buddhism as a coercitive, lucrative and political-oriented sect. What do you know about the Dorje Shugden controversy and the conflicts of Kelsan Gyatso and the Dalai Lama?

Hi

I do not want to engage in a discussion about this topic but just say that I follow the Dalai Lama's advice and the advice of one of my own teachers in this context.
I am no full-fledged Gelug practitioner since my teachers are from different tibetan schools.

Kind regards

Go with your instincts, if something feels wrong, leave, whether it is in the temple or just in your heart about it.

This is basically covered in another thread already in progress, so I will lock this one now. :)

Please take care, and take careful consideration of what you immerse yourself in.
