Forum Make-Over
« on: March 19, 2010, 01:20:32 pm »
As we get ready to load our new templates with the winner logo/theme, I've redesigned the layout of the boards.  Apologies for any confusion, please post any questions about the changes here, and I will answer you.  Also feel free to give any suggestions or feedback!

As soon as Wonky Badger uploads the files to the server and installs the theme.

Wonky Badger...?  Do we have a timeframe yet?

Hopefully I can complete it within the coming week. Depends on how many manual changes I have to do in the template to get all the packets working.

I could not contain myself any longer. I just had to release the new theme! I've been using it for a few days while testing and tweaking and just kinda fell in love with it.

If you find any bugs or glitches or have other suggestions, let me know and I'll try to fix them. Major credit to gratefuldodger  :jinsyx: that did most of the work with the template and logo!  :namaste: And also creds to 0gyen  :jinsyx:, as she chose the template and the final result is based on her vision.

I understand that some might prefer the old theme, so I'll give instructions to changing it here.

1. Go to your profile.
2. Click "Look and Layout Preferences" under "Modify Profile" on the left
3. Click (change) after "Current Theme" and select the Core theme. (there is no guarantee that all features are visible in the YaBB and Babylon themes).

Yeah is it possible to fix the " Chat bar " at the top of the page so it displays how many people are in there ?

Can I just be the first to say:

Now:

Deaf, he hears his own nature.
Blind, he sees his Original Mind.
The empty, clear moon
In the water rises
Where heart and mind are forgotten.

  :buddha:
Haha! The logo! Buddhist teaching in full swing, like that things turn out different from one's expectations.
The logo and page are so different from what I expected to see, whatever it was that I 'saw' ....
By so now and then looking at it all today, sweeping my first-impression-opinions away, now hours later
the logo makes me think that Buddha Mind is always present, that the Buddha Dharma is on the way out because one half of the face of the Buddha is overshadowed by fiery forces, and that right now the Buddha Dharma and the Sangha are alive and kicking in many places around the globe.
May enough kind and wise Buddha Dharma teachers appear forever in Samsara for the benefit of all beings!

Thanks to all who gave it a try creating a logo.
And a big thanks to all who helped creating the choosen logo!  :namaste:
