As we lately have become active on Facebook and Twitter again, I thought I'd just put together a small presentation of how we're presently connected to the social networks.
On the portal page you can see this (I blurred out the faces as someone might not want to have theirs uploaded to imageshack):

There you can start following us on Twitter or join ("like") our page on Facebook. "But why?", you ask. I'll quickly cover the functions of our Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Twitter:When someone posts a new topic in the FreeSangha forum, within half an hour a notifiction of this will be tweeted (not enabled in the Crier, Market and Danger Zone sections). That way, if you're active on Twitter, you can keep an eye out for interesting topics without actually having to pop into the forum all the time.
Facebook:If we'd post every new topic to your Facebook wall, it could get pretty cluttered and you might become mightily annoyed with us, so we've refrained from doing that. The only items posted to your Facebook wall is news from the Bulletin Board, like this post, and maybe an occasional Facebook status update. Also, if at any point the forum goes down, our Facebook page is the place to go to find out what's going on and maybe have a small discussion with other members while waiting for the forum to come back up. We used to have a lot more Facebook page members but a small snafu forced us to recreate the page from scratch, losing all the members in the process.
Our current Facebook page address is
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Freesangha/171430962891932 but we're hoping to get at least 25 members, because then we're eligible to change it to a shorter and simpler URL.
So if you'd like to help out, please join our Facebook page!Posting to Social Networks:You might have noticed these small icons at the top right of discussions:

By clicking on them, you can post or bookmark the current discussion at your favourite social network (if your favourite is not there, let me know which it is and I might be able to add it).
If you have any idea on how we could better use Social Media, please feel free to let us know!
