People with POWER seek to retain POWER. Leads them to do things that normally thoughtful people would find bitterly distasteful. Strong is the attachment to POWER. Sad since POWER is unreal as an object of possession. Best wishes for all.

Yes, perhaps from an ultimate view power is unreal, but in a conventional way, power is real enough to continue generating suffering and oppression for others.  You can't just look at one side of power and claim that it's the whole (power=unreal).  It's not.  Power is quite real or government and presidents wouldn't exist.  The power that comes with favorable conditions like wealth and fame wouldn't exist.

And what says that wealth and fame are favorable? I see naught but pain and intense suffering in those who have achieved these favorable conditions .....

Power is just another delusion. It is nothing but fearful surrender by those believing they have lost it to those dreaming they have it. Wealth and fame are no better. I've a wealth not measured in drachmas, euros, dollars; that no market, bubble, government, or economist can taint, or influence ...... Love is true wealth ......
