it is very much a textual (textural?) tradition. Can't go wrong with Patrul Rinpoche. I try to read WMPT every year.

Agreed. The Words of My Perfect Teacher is the best book of Buddhist Writing ever, though that's just my opinion.

Is Words of My Perfect Teacher available online?  I have been reading A Cascading Waterfall of Nectar off and on this Winter and I wanted to go back and find WMPT again.

Also, I found this .pdf by Kenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche entitled Commentary on Ngondro Practive According to The New Treasure of Dudjom.
http://www.pbdc.net/teach/tersar.pdf
good?  anybody else read this?  I have been flipping through it a little here and there in between some other reading I am doing.

I was not expecting to find such a great amount of good suggestions when I opened this thread.  Thanks!
