Title: Examples of Website Alternatives? ...
Post by: NepalianBuddhist on July 20, 2014, 08:15:52 pm
Hi, while the basic forum format is always based on Administrator and Moderator control ,... I don't need this interference in my activity.

Are there examples of communication forums that don't have Administrator or Moderator interference? Wondering, thanks.

It's often said that serving as a moderator is a thankless undertaking, though the same could be said for those who serve as an administrator.

Unfortunately, there's not much more that can be said in regard to your comment or the "interference" you've described in this thread, other than to point out that you've also ran into issues of moderation on other forums as well, so maybe it might be time for you to exam your activity instead.

NB:  Any forum is going to have at least an administrator, and most likely moderators.  A forum doesn't spontaneously appear on the internet, so someone has created it, and unless they keep it as a free for all where anything goes (which would include unreal amounts of spam, nonsensical posts by real members, and much more), there is going to be some level of moderation.

I think your challenge would be far greater trying to navigate an environment like that and learn something, instead of dealing with the "intrusive" moderation of a forum like FreeSangha.

In the end, we are people too and thus are prone to err.  Additionally, it will be impossible to please every individual on this site, so all we can do is try our best.  You're welcome to stay here and learn what you can, and you are free to try that elsewhere.
