May all beings benefit from this June Poya:

May all beings take joy from the actions of Arahat Mahinda:
What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.
-Dhammpada, 19, translated by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.

I visited Mihintale and the close by Anuradhapura with my Buddhist Tourism activities.

One can see it meant a lot to the people to have Buddhism introduced to Sri Lanka.

I walked around the Anuradhapura area quite a bit, and saw many Dagobas. That was the most Dagobas that I have seen yet in an area.

The Bodhi Tree Planting is also featured in the Anuradhapura area.
