THE ROOT SAMAYA OF YESHE TSOGYEL

The Divine Mother is a force in the Cosmos essentially neglected by the Abrahamic religions. The archetype of the Holy Virgin provides a kind of redressed form of this principle, removing from the Mother all the chaotic aspects which bring revolution, natural disaster and demand of humanity that we develop strength, that we become 'Supermen' (and women), a fine allegory of the Bodhisattva. Nature is profound and in the strangeness and intoxication of a walk in the woods we can discover all the light and beauty of poetry, meet with nature spirits who may or may not prove deceptive, connect with the cycle of seasons which is one real basis of the great Initiation of 'The Wheel Of Time'. Those who do not regard the Mother Nature as a living force of change, who do not respect the Elemental Godesses and the didactic of Earth and Sky, of the Chaotic Mother and the Father All-Open, All-Seeing, do not respect the true teachings of Padmasambhava, though there are many like this amongst the modern Buddhist schools who having shut down their chakras, having isolated themselves from life and taken a job within the living death of the great corporations, believe that they 'know it all' and dismiss such things as mere fairytales.

Indeed the superstitions of people are profound, the lack of philosophic outlook in the world is chilling, yet it does not make a person a philosopher to have many thoughts over glasses of wine, rather like Gotama we must see, experience, taste the essence of the suffering of humanity. Only by knowing this vision can we have hope of finding higher insight.

The Divine Mother, RAM-IO, ISIS, TARA, the names of each religion having their own significance and meaning, is the one who raises humanity from their infancy. Knowing nothing of nature it is very difficult to know anything of Buddha. Could Jean Paul Sartre have come to the profound conclusion that Life Is Suffering? People of the city, absorbed in personal difficulties, often lack awareness of the wider situation. Yet Buddhists also recognise the Mother Prajnaparamita, the Lunar Mother. It is said that the Moon is older than the planet Earth, that it is the last planet Earth which now looks on with the age of her Wisdom. Other religions do not understand the Profound Perfection of Wisdom correctly, yet Buddhists also do not understand the Profound Perfection of Wisdom correctly due to lacking the independence of Spirit of truly great Sages like Gotama.

The Mother of the Vajrayana, in the sense of being the feminine founder, is Yeshe Tsogyel. She was the consort of Padmasambhava and underwent many highly ascetic meditation practises or the allegoric equivalent thereof. Without the influence of this woman clearly Tibetan Buddhism would not exist, because the Mother Energy is required by the Father in order to create. Otherwise we are left in a situation of living in a sexless, dead cosmos, which indeed certain aspects of creation enslaved by the Samsaric Gods appear, yet in the end the Cosmos is filled with Divine Sexual Forces, it is not merely a dead shell. The Vajrayana teaches the Inseparability of Samsara and Nirvana, this means that the Bodhisattva has such love for the Mother Cosmos that he continues within the profoundities and dangers of her chaos rather than entering the rest of Nirvanic realms.

The trouble on this planet is that absolutely nobody keeps Yeshe Tsogyel's Root Samaya. People indeed mock this, even though similar prohibitions are found in every religious tradition.

'Without energy control your sexual activity is
 fornication;
Properly execute the exercises of 'drawing up'
and 'saturating'
And with the nails of your imagination apply
an hermetic seal.
About mind: identify the conditioned mind with
 seed-essence itself;
If seed-essence is lost in actuality
The karma of slaying a Buddha is incurred;
At all costs gain self-control.'

Though Non-Buddhist religions only bring people some way to liberation, it is also ignored by Buddhists quite what a mess Buddhism is in. How many Lamas practise these instructions? How many even practise Karmamudra or advise their students to follow such disciplines? Furthermore, these Lamas are not rebels, they willingly accept the darkness of the planetary situation and do not fight, they do not speak out about Gaza and about the many other problems caused by governments. It may be that there are individuals amongst them who are sincere contemplators of Dharma, yet, why do they not have interest in Yeshuva who was surely some illustration of the Bodhisattva Path? It seems like this earthly hierachy goes against the instructions of the Divine Mother Yeshe Tsogyel herself, and against Padamsambhava's final poems explaining why he was leaving Tibet.

The Divine Mother was respected more by Hermann Hesse and Goethe than by the Dalai Lama. Could such a man live amidst all the intensities and trials of life on Earth?
