Kindergarden many blessings, started it in chat and here is my humble response

Please Haiku here:

Hearing No Issa chirps/friend found, living dead!/stamp! puddle drops ascend...

:namaste: Always nice to see haiku and tanka

Listening for chirps -
Hai - no snow buntings this year.
Did they hide in clouds?
Listen - the poem is moving -
It's only Issa breathing

 :ishift:

Probably not the correct form for a Haiku, but something I wrote many years ago while in University.
---------------------------------------------------

Walking to the car, the frozen snow
crunched beneath my feet.
Waiting for you in the warming car, the engine running,
across the river valley a crow flew quickly
cawing in alarm.

Some haiku I've written.

the world far below
sun dazzling above the clouds
my mind daydreaming

a petal slips down
from the magnolia tree
and settles close by

the tea is too hot
we can wait for it to cool
before we drink it

Buddleja flowers
throughout all the summer months -
but you can't eat them

Look through the window
to see the weather forecast -
It's usually right

The greyness outside
Does not effect the sunshine
That I feel inside

A pair of pear trees -
pioneers, from fallen pips
have polluted fruit.

My battery low
I glance at the gloomy sky -
It should be different

The train is on time -
That's not really newsworthy
But I thought I'd say

Why do some people
Manipulate and bully?
I find it quite sad.

The dune is airless -
Out of it's burrow scuttles
A tiger beetle

Grasshoppers buzzing -
A beads of sweat on my brow
Falls and stings my eye

The sun failed today -
Indistinguishable clouds
Kept it well hidden

Hot, humid and close -
Loading bay doors stay open
At the climbing wall

Cloud refused to budge -
No meteor shower seen
Quite disappointing

Breathing - freezing mist
Solitude, stillness and calm
I long for winter

This summer morning
The sky as grey as my mind -
Faint hints of blueness

The greengages rot -
As does everything in life.
Should I plant the stones?

Just to be happy
Some people ask for too much -
Not content with rain.

On this drab morning
My mind is not creative -
The haiku languish

Yellow leaves swirling
A morning mist hugs the ground
As the pale sun grows

Can you seize fleeting
wind in the palm of your hands?
Blossoms quickly fade...

 :namaste:

Fleeting - a memory -
Old blossom's scent lingers on ...
Is it only mind?
