Question: When can we call a human being a bodhisattva?
Zen Master Wu Bong: Any time you like.

Sharp, clear and inspiring: Arne Arne Schaefer JDPSN remembers Zen Master Wu Bong as a teacher, also being like a father and like a friend. It's a short interview we've made as part of our preliminary research - which we hope we'll get enough funding for to deepen and broaden through further interviews.

Zen Master Wu Bong: In all Sutras there is only one meaning / But behind this meaning, a deeper meaning; / Behind this meaning, an even deeper meaning. / Cracking thunder, bright lightning, / And all meaning disappears. / What are you? / Swallow the red hot iron. / Auuu!!! / If you find a tree without shadow / In a valley with no echo, / Then it will be clear: / Today is Sunday, 6th of February; / In the Dharma room, a new bright light.

Zen Master Wu Bong: In a way, our life is a preparation for our death. I still think this is not a bad conclusion. There will come a culmination of this vehicle when we have to put it aside. If we want something or are attached to something, this process can be very painful. If we can stay awake, this process can be very wonderful.

Dear friends,

our campaign on Indiegogo runs only two days more: help us to produce a documentary about Jacob Perl aka Zen Master Wu Bong, born 1950 in Poland who was the first Western student of Soen Sa Nim Seung Sahn becoming 1993 his Dharma successor. It is a tribute to a very impressive and at the same time humble personality who did much for the dissemination of Buddhist teachings. Don't know, a Tribute to Zen Master Wu Bong.
This is not a commercial project (documentaries, well ...), but an honest adduced wish.
